BRONX – It’s the Green New Deal. It’s designed to save the planet. It’s the brainchild of a deranged lunatic. And it involves banning all copies of the 1987 movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles for some reason.
The lunatic behind the plan? The one and only Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), the newly-elected socialist who should be in an insane asylum rather than in Congress. Her Green New Deal has the abolition of anything that runs on an engine as its main goal.
“This movie is a negative influence in our culture because it has at its core some of the main things that are ruining our planet,” Cortez eloquently explained. “But while the movie was funny, and Steve Martin and John Candy gave great performances, they never once addressed the damage their travel was making to our atmosphere.”
AOC would like to see the nation go back to the horse and buggy days of the 1800’s in her effort to save the world from the global warming hoax. “Ridding the world of that movie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, is a solid first step. All copies must be destroyed in the next 10 years,” she insisted.
Cortez said outlawing the movie is nothing personal toward Martin or the late John Candy, but “removing it from pop culture will make it easier for us to take the real planes, trains and automobiles away from everybody later on.”
