ATLANTA – It was a horrifying sight for CNN employees – Donald Trump slamming the CNN logo to the ground in an online meme. The shocking GIF has rattled everyone at the network.
CNN president Jeff Zucker said, “We don’t know how yet, but someone out there was able to create a poorly photoshopped video with the CNN logo on it. When you assault company logos, you assault everyone who works for that company. You can understand why we’re all a little shaken around here right now.”
Anchor Jake Tapper was worried about the ramifications of the meme. “If they can do this to our sacred CNN logo, they can do it to any company’s logos. It’s very damaging to our reputation as America’s leading fake news source.”
Network contributor Ana Navarro whined, “If I was the CEO of a big company out there, I’d be very worried that the president could do this to my brand. It’s frightening! I haven’t slept since it came out.”
Wolf Blitzer remarked, “At first I thought he was attacking a person in the video. Then I realized it was our logo he was smacking down, and that’s much, much worse.”
Zucker has called actor James Earl Jones in to rerecord the company’s famous tagline to say…”This….is overreacting CNN” in his trademark booming voice.
