WASHINGTON – What’s that saying? “The more things change, the more they stay the same?” That’s the game Democrats are playing with the American people as they try to put one over on the low-info crowd. The party’s Dept. of Official Slogan Creation has been working overtime to come up with their latest gem: “A Better Deal.”
“Better cliches, better pandering. Papa Schumer.” This rebranding effort is sure to meet with the same success Coca-Cola had with their launch of New Coke in the 1980’s. The hype was crazy for Coke’s changing product, and the failure was epic.
But Democrats are smarter than Coke. They’re changing slogans……but not the product! Voters can look forward to hearing the same worn out lines about helping the middle class, creating better paying jobs, lowering healthcare costs, blah blah blah.
Luckily though, the product will continue to be churned out by Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Al Franken, Maxine Waters, and Bernie Sanders. What could possibly go wrong?!
The slogan is a take on the New Deal from FDR in the 1940’s. If the latest slogan doesn’t work for Democrats in 2018, Schumer plans to come up with another new one, then announce that he has polio.
