News Anchors Can’t Pronounce Name ‘Tara Reade,’ Working With Speech Therapists For Help

NEW YORK – In an incredible coincidence, all news anchors for the major networks, CNN, and MSNBC, admit they’re unable to pronounce the name ‘Tara Reade.’ Reade is the woman who has accused Democrat Joe Biden of sexual assault in the 1990’s.

According to Media Matters, it’s some kind of fluke that Fox News anchors have no trouble pronouncing the name. “We can’t explain this one,” the Leftist news company said. They noted that neither Chuck Todd, George Stephanopoulis, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow, Lester Holt, Nora O’Donnell, or Diane Sawyer have been able to pronounce the assault victim’s name. “It’s very widespread within the industry.”

The NYT attempted to use the printed word to publish the name Tara Reade.

“It’s the darndest thing,” MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said. “As I’m sitting here with you right now, and we’re not talking about Joe Biden at all, I can pronounce the name just fine. But if I’m on air, or if her name is in the same paragraph as Joe Biden’s name, it’s like I freeze up. I can’t get the words out. My crew decided it would be better to conveniently leave her name out of any story related in any way to Biden.”

Stephanopoulis also admitted his frustration. “In this business, you have to be able to pronounce names from all over the world. Some have numerous consonants and take a lot of practice to get it right. Maybe it’s so tricky for me because there are quite a few vowels in her name. I don’t know.”

NBC’s Chuck Todd said he’s trying. “I’m working with a speech therapist on learning to pronounce her name. Many of my colleagues in the media are doing the same. My teacher says I’m coming along, but it takes time. She said it could take up to a year before I feel confident enough to say Tara Reade on the air. So, I probably won’t be able to say it properly until after the election.”
